The 1.25" bar is smaller in diameter than the ZQ8 bar. I know they are going to be more efficient than a tubular bar because the arms don't deflect but I'm not going to invest the time/money unless I know whether it's going to be better. Would I tune stiffness with the wall thickness?

I like this one, looks like a straight forward setup:

Did some looking and an 1.25" bar with a 0.25 wall thickness is going to give a rate of less than 500 lbs. Seems like that may not be far off a stock ZQ8 bar but I guess using heim end links and solid pillow block bearings will eliminate a lot deflection.

Thoughts from the engineering types?

Relocating the bar to use shorter arms and/or move the mounting location further inboard on the lower control arms.

I may be able to move the bar back by spacing the frame mounts out to clear the idler arm. On that rate calculator, reducing the arm length by 2" increases rate by 200 lb - pretty damn effective!

I would think it would be better to move the LCA mounts towards the wheel so there's less leverage on the end link. I suck at welding so I'll probably keep that as a last resort.

The combo of the Spohn LCAs and ZQ8 bar makes the end link alignment pretty poor right now, a splined setup could help a lot with that.

Yeah, sorry, out not in.

I've wondered about the potential for using the G body bars, which i've never looked into, but could be wider?

About 6" wider between the mounts, which would REALLY cause some steering issues. It's the first place I rub already.
