Interesting double watts/6-link

This isn't for the S-10 platform, but I thought it was interesting enough to post.

It uses a watts link on either side of the axle instead of what would be the upper link in a four-bar setup.  Also, the watts links arms are not equal length, which would give some fore-aft movement.

I have no idea if this is actually a good idea or not, but it might solve some packaging issues.

That's pretty cool. Definitely thinking outside of the box to make something work without heavy fabrication by the end user.

First thought was, why not just forward 4 link it, but looks like there'd be some funky handling & launching characteristics with the links being so close together at the front mounting point. The movement from the watts is probably less than if they'd gone traditional 4 link.

In what way do you think forward 4 linking would improve it by the way?

In the particular chassis from the pictures? I'm not sure it would improve it.

It would be far simpler, though, with fewer components.
