When is a wheel repairable vs. paper weight?

There's a very faint hairline crack in one spoke of one of my 10-spoke 17x9.5" Z06 wheels. 

I think I already know the answer to this question... would you consider getting it repaired or is it garbage?

personally i think all alloy wheels are junk after a failure.

but there are plenty of companies that will "repair" it for you.

sucks, but it can make a pretty side table.

Can you tell how the crack was caused? Impact or stress? I normally wouldn't say this, but you DO have 9 others.. I would keep an eye on it and save up, not worth fixing usually.

A car pulled out in front of me last fall and I had to hit a substantial pothole to avoid it.  I'm having a hell of a time finding a replacement argent silver 17x9.5" ZO6, even in a reproduction.  It's almost cheaper to just buy a full set of new reproduction 'vette wheels. 

Seems like I've read in a couple places that the repros aren't as light or high quality as the originals.  With the way the roads have fallen apart this last winter I'm hesitant to drive anything nice for a couple months.

The repops are definitely not as light.  One of my rear 18x10.5s is a repop and its noticeably heavier than the OEM one.  These wheels are for street use only so I'm not worried about the few extra pounds.  On a 3500# truck I doubt I would ever feel the difference anyway.   I had to make a choice between the truck and the firebird this winter - the bird is nice and dry in the barn.

even within the z06 wheels i tihnk there are 2 suppliers depending on the year.
alcoa and speedline i think.
and the alcoas have a touch more brake clearance if i remember correctly.
