Rear Suspension
« on: November 12, 2013, 03:06:49 PM »
So Ive gone through most of the posts here regarding rear suspension set ups. Im getting mixed reviews on the belltech 3" drop leafs. Ive read there too soft and lead to more axle hop, while others say the Zq8s are too soft and cause the rear to "hop around" mid corner. Im lookin for a semi aggressive street set up. Is there a setup that works best (besides 3-4 link)? Any recommendations on non-adjustable shocks as well would be fantastic.
Thanks Guys
Andrew

Well I did some more reading and it sounds like bell tech leafs will work.

Both springs are probably too "soft" when it comes to axle hop and planting.  Part of it is at the core the are springs designed for a truck rather than performance.  With any leaf spring setup on these trucks, for improved lateral stability, a Pan Hard Bar or the like is necessary.
