My S10 Project
« on: November 20, 2009, 01:10:28 PM »
The front suspension is currently being built by Max Fish at Bio Kustumz. It will lay the rocker on a 22" wheel and get atleast 12-14" of travel. The spindles, control arms, and the engine crossmember will all be hand fabricated out of sheetmetal. No round or square tubing will be used. The factory steering was ditched in favor of a Mustang II rack (more to come on that!) It will use Slam Specialties RE7's and Fox Racing 2.0 shocks. Factory Blazer spindle design was incorporated for the C6 Z06 Corvette Brake swap.

The rear frame is being built by Keith Sawyer at Nfamus Air Suspension. The frame will be a mandrel style incorporating the diamond shape. Ronnie at CRP Machine Shop is making me some billet link bars. I'm looking for a Winters Performance Quick Change (PM me if you can help me out!).

The steering was mounted behing the engine crossmember making it "Rear Steer". It's a front steer rack that was mounted as a rear steer making the steering output reversed. With the bell crank, it then reverses it so that it is pushing in the right direction for a rear steer.

My motor started out as an LQ4 out of a 2004 2500 Sierra. I only wanted to replace the heads and intake manifold to L92/LS3, but I got an itch for more power. These plans might change:
LQ4 to .060 Over :)
Callies Crank & Rods
JE Pistons
TSP Ported LS3 Heads
GTO Oil Pan
Huge Comp Cam :)
