Hey everyone
« on: August 26, 2009, 02:24:01 AM »
I hadn't been around the other forum for very long, but the people are cool and knowledgable so I decided to make the switch over here.

Still working on lowering my truck.  I've got everything I need and have gotten some of it done (got the Doetsch Techs in and replaced the rear sway bushings with Prothane) but its tough finding a place to work on a vehicle when you live in an apartment with a sh*tty parking situation, lol.

I'll update you guys as progress is made  ;D

Welcome to the site.

I know all to well about the apartment situation. Used to do motor swaps between 12 and 6am so the management wouldn't find out...haha.

Welcome.

Now would be the time to search for a house if you have the financial means to do so.  I bought my house 5 years ago in a decent (read: you see 12 year olds smoking) neighborhood for $42K.  I have almost 1/8 of an acre, a 1.5 car garage, and a fully cemented driveway.  My house payment with insurance and taxes factored in is around $400/month.  There are now houses similar to mine going for low 30's on my street.

Thanks for the welcomes  :)

Welcome to the site.

Sounds like fun, lol.  Unfortunately over here the area i park in is nowhere near level (i think it was paved by drunken orangutans) so i wouldn't want to be underneath a jacked up vehicle on it  :o  Luckily i can use my parents' driveway to do work, but only when they go out of town, meh.

Welcome.

Thanks for the info DriftinBlzr. I wish I could buy a house, but I would most likely have to move out of state to be able to afford it.  My job doesn't pay that well and housing prices in San Jose and the San Fran bay area are freakin ridiculous  >:(

Welcome. I understand about the housing prices. They are way over priced here as well.
