That's the same shifter I have. I changed out the handle for one I modified to work better w/ the bench I put in the blazer.. which looks like you've got the same bench seat I do. I'd still like to see more about the 4 speed install. Personally, I'd use the ford 8.8 rear from an Exploder.. it's what I did but it was mainly because I'm putting a BBC in place of the SBC I had in there before so.. maybe I'm biased, but the 8.8 will handle ANYTHING you throw at it (unless it's over 600hp.. that's the rears' rating stock/unmodified). Hope to see more of this project.

BTW, I've got Coated Sanderson headers for your application w/ 1-3/4" primaries & 3" collectors. If you're interested I'll send along a, new chrome, set of reducers.. they're 3" down to 2-1/2". Check out my parts thread.. they're way cheaper than if you got them new.

ya with the seat back all the way the shifter just touches the seat in second gear. havnt had a problem with that tho. ill take a look at your parts.

i just remebered something. when i go over a bump at 35+ mph the back end seams to slide out, sideways. i checked and im pritty shore one of the leaf springs is bent err warped err whatever.

I had the same handle & removed it to put in the one that bends around the seat. It's a little longer on throw but positions my knob right in my hand... right where I want it.

What he said!I would rather feel stupid for a little while than dropping money to change parts that there is nothing wrong with,AND no skinned up knuckles!

Just rip the kit off and tell them you think it was stolen...lol Then tell them you need a bumper and since the paint is screwed from the kit getting stolen you might as well fix some stuff. Oh, say the roof must have been replaced and the seam was done wrong. :)

I used to ask myself if the trouble I was about to get myself into was worth the satisfaction I was going to get out of doing what ever it was I had planned, usually I did it anyhow, and yes, sometimes I was VERY WRONG!Patience,if they wont let you do the mods, well, that gives you plenty of time to plan them and be prepared to do them,AND have plenty of time to save a little cash and build up a stash of parts!
