Sure is. Yet another distraction from the Blazer haha but it's actually been a good use of downtime while waiting on parts, etc. Only ~3000 miles so just a little cleaning and restoration before it is ready for a more modern battery. Lots of ideas for weight reduction after that, but Al and I are trying to get it moving under its own power first.

Cool - did it come with the 2/3 tonneau cover? I always liked the idea of making one of those for a track truck or using a cover off of a crew cab...

And glad to have a helper to hold the Isuzu hood.
Where did you find that?!

No tonneau unfortunately. It's actually only about a 1/3 of the bed. I did some research last year to see if I could dig up some parts for the Isuzu, but they were not for sale new at any of the usual places I know to look for oddball discontinued GM parts. It was one of the first pieces to get torn off most of these trucks sadly. On the bright side it was a fairly simple aluminum sheet and frame from everything I looked at. The mounting brackets were probably the most unique/complicated part of it.
I'll just say that Al knows the right people looking in the right places. It came to us through a friend of ours who is very into EVs and needed to downsize his fleet. The electric S10s are something that we've been tracking and keeping an eye on for several years and the right situation finally presented itself. I'd wager most of the trucks are sitting around with dead or without batteries in someone's garage or backyard with the intent of resurrecting someday...

Isuzu finally sold a couple weeks back for $2900. Not bad considering what I had invested, although plenty of time into it. Sad to see it go after all the work, but just another step to focus on the Blazer.

That turned out to be a sweet ride when it was all said and done. Now go finish the blazer!

Yeah it did!
Now back to the Blazer. Been spending plenty of time with my head deep in schematics, the parts catalog, and google now that I have direct access to such things again.
