SCCA held a 'Track Night in America' at my local track PIR, so I decided to take advantage of it. It was only $150 for three 20 minute sessions. You don't have to take any driving classes or have an instructor either. My first session was pretty boring since I was stuck behind slow cars and there was no passing allowed. The second session was a lot of fun and there was no one in front of me for most of the session. On the third session, I got some good laps but ran into traffic quickly. I let an FRS go by me and tried keeping up with him. He was faster on the straights, but we were pretty even in the corners.
