hotrods to hell truck arm rear suspension kit

Not sure if this is a repost.  Any opinions on this?  Seems like it may be a viable option for those that can't do a custom link setup but still want to ditch the leafs.  They also sell a G-body front suspension setup but they don't give specifics on it.

I think it's a good set-up. I considered running one, but gas tank placement wouldn't allow it on my truck.

No I don't. They don't have any pricing listed for the S-10's, but their other truckarm set-ups seem to be priced around $2000.

I did some reading up on pro-touring and people either seem passionately for or against truck arm designs!  Seems like those who mainly use it on street driven cars are pro and race cars are con.

That seems like an accurate sentiment to me.  A well engineered truck arm may respond better than leaf springs, but isn't going to give the consistant reaction a more thought out and/or costly/complex link system will.

I think it's a nice kit.  changing other vehicles to a truck arm setup wouldn't be that good i think, but the rear suspension of a truck handles so poorly the truck arm has to be an improvement over the leafs.  truck arms have been used in nascar forever, and they can tackle the road courses decently.

Price is 1500 or 1800. I sent them an email awhile ago asking.

Truck arms are nice. So simple and very effective. Not much adjustablity but that can be a plus.

I think a lot of the street car guys on pro-touring felt that was one of the pros over other systems.  Good to know there's a decent option out there anyway

I agree with S10 driver. also, screw jacks for adjustable ride height do the same thing as the spring collars on coilovers. I think auto X S10 guys would love it. If  you know some with scales, like an intercomp set up, you could really tune how much weight is put to the ground at each wheel. another Plus over a link setup is you could change rear springs by just disconnecting one end of the shock while it's jacked up with out having to count turns or re-measure ride height. I like it, obviosly. I never knew about this kit. Thank you.

i would a agree its certainly hit or miss on the whole truck arm setup.  but simplicity can have its place at time.  but certainly a good step away from leaf springs.  plus with it transfering power to nearly the center of the vehicle it would really help to lift and really plant the tires. i know on my 89 when i move it around the garage i just jack it up on the trans cross and the whole truck comes up nearly evenly.  i wouldnt hesitate to put a good truck arm setup on any of my trucks.  specially if i was going to autox it.
