Carbureted LN2 used in race car... (video inside!)

so far the only specs i have found are:

- 215 whp
- 3500-7000 rpm
- stock 94 bottom end
- 2200 pistons
- solid lifter race cam (almost 300 degrees of duration)
-.100 off the head + valve job
- 110 leaded fuel
- bearing clearances opened up on crank (.0035 to .005)
- '84 cavi distributor (2 are cut in half and welded together to lengthen them to clear the intake)
- weber 38 outlaw carb

Pretty interesting to see how they turn a j-body into a stock car.

Well, if nothing else more info on the engine would be interesting. I'll refer to my mother on the rest of the car though.

Interesting build but those #'s seem weak for an engine with those specs.  I remember shops offering 200hp normally aspirated toyota 22R's that ran on pump gas when I was looking for replacements for my 1984 truck.  IIRC they also sold a race-only 250hp version.

well these motors make about 90whp in stock form, so over 200 just by using a carb and a big cam is a pretty good improvement.

the rules of the class are pretty strict on the motor specs.
