Oh yeah, I had planned on using those if simple isolators didn't do the trick. If I end up needing both isolators, I'll switch to either a taller static shim inside the pocket or an adjustable shim like that. I had actually planned on using exactly those back when the plan was for 500lb springs and I couldn't get a 13" spring like I wanted and really thought I could get. I haven't seen anyone with a blazer running a 12" 600lb spring to date, so I'm not sure where I'm going to end up on ride height, and once I can afford to start swapping out front sheet metal for fiberglass, I'm going to need to bring the nose down some, therefore just removing an isolator.

One and the same, always have been.

First two boxes arrived last night. One spring, one set of isolators, front disks, all four ball joints, front and rear brake pads, and one set of LCA bushings. I think I'm going to drag my extra set of LCAs in to work tomrrow to pull the BJs and bushings and blast them, then I'll start laying my suspension out on the floor in the house and when I have it all together I'll take a picture and run everyone through what I'm putting on her.

Looking forward to seeing your suspension all laid out, organized builds are the best.

One question, what made you choose those brands for ball joints? I've been out of the S10 game for a little while but previous to right now I thought that PP was the only manufacturer of TBJ's.

Ah, you have been gone for a while. Power Performance only ever had a relative monopoly on the tall lower ball joints. The tall uppers have been around for some time for the circle track guys. Power Performance changed their name to ProForged about a year and half ago if memory serves. Got both Afco uppers for the price of one ProForged(powerperformance) upper so I went with that to save a couple bucks where I could.

Hope you have better luck than I did installing the C5 calipers & C4 13 inch rotors....

When installed on stock S10 spindles it took a chit load of grinding on the spindles just to get the Flynbye brackets to bolt up & once that was done the calipers would hit the frame during a hard lock turn & compress the caliper so the next time you stepped on the brakes there was none till you pumped the brakes back up.

Not a good feeling.

I had to grind the back of the caliper & relocate the hole for the brake hose but now it is done right & working much better.

I've got my fingers crossed, luckily I'm using Beltech 2100 spindles.

Yup, those are the steel LCA bushings from summit that I linked earlier. LCAs will be stock with the stop removed and if the F150 endlinks don't work out, I'll have to add some provisions for a solid swaybar mount.

I went in and looked over everything tonight, that spread is just over $1000 and just covers my front suspension, it's kinda scary, but I know it's damn cheap compared to a lot of other vehicles I could be doing.

have you used those evolution pads before? im curious how good they are under abuse, im going to try a set on the mazda here soon.

The formulation is apparently identical to quite a few other top end ceramic pads that I've used before and they're priced well with that consideration.

Got to spend a little time on the engine yesterday. Longblock is built. I need to stop on the way home today to get paint for my LCAs and frame horns, paint my intake and arms this afternoon hopefully. Had to order a cam retainer and hardware, was mysteriously missing from the box of stuff that came with my engine. Once it gets here I can get that much closer to finishing her off. I've still got the passenger side suspension in place, was considering putting a jack under each side and putting weight on the LCAs to check the approx difference before I get too far into it and decide it's too low. I'm really worried it's going to be too low with the new springs.

Well, it was 47 degrees and raining when I got home, so no painting today.
