good to see someone exploring the truck arm setup, i am debating between the same type of setup or a 3 link, are you going to make the front mounts adjustable up/down to mess with anti dive etc to improve the handling?

I do love truck arms, and they really do work well for the relatively small amount of vertical movement most of our trucks will see. If I could get a set for free I'd be on them like white on rice too!

So here is the progress for the day, the shock brackets on the truck arms are impracticable for use with street shocks and needed to go. These had some HIGH QUALITY welds and took about 2 hours with a cut off wheel to get them off.

Here is the latest new part purchase...should be here next week sometime. Hope I can make it work out! Will need to be converted from the full floating end to the Torino end. Full floating hubs would be cool but they are PRICEY!

The local race shop that will narrow it does not think its possible, they think that the floater ends use up to much space and when they are cut off the tubes will be too narrow for the S10. We shall see when it gets here!

First test fit, got to move the housing brackets....would have been to easy for the current brackets to work.

Funny how this was just supposed to be a v8 swap.

Thanks for the comments guys, when this project first started my intentions was to simply swap a V8 into the truck and have a quick truck. After doing some thinking it occurred to me that the Average Joe family man often is not able to have a project vehicle that is not a daily driver that needs to be running again by morning or the end of the weekend. So I have decided to go big or go home lol‬‪ ‬‪Even though my front suspension is done its all coming off to be sold and going from scratch again. Big brakes, race spindles , and hubs. Also under consideration is a custom engine cross member w/ custom upper and lower control arm mounts.‬

^ Now you've really got my attention. When do you think the new front suspension will start falling into place? I'm curious what spindles as well?

Well, its kind of already started with these hubs made to fit a #2 spindle.

The brackets on  the trailing arm crossmember do have 2 sets of hole to make it adjustable.

Because @ $160 each they are pretty cheap and will bolt up to the #2 GM spindle, and with a fab bracket they can also be used for the rear axle. Also they available in single or dual piston...I will just need to find the correct rotor to bolt to the front hub, and need to find a rear rotor hat with enough offset to work with the rear floater hubs.

Its always great to have a box waiting for you after work, except when the box is tiny and the contents add up to $80! Gotta pay to play though. The used hubs where missing some odds n ends, they are good to go now. As expensive as the 9" housing and floater hubs has been its still WAY CHEAPER than the kits from Mark Williams or Moser. So far the 9" has cost about $550

Help me guys... I am confused? Since the I do plan on abusing the truck with road course use my first front end has been sold to upgrade to #2 spindles that use larger brakes & replacable bearings. What is the stock size lower S10 balljoint stud 9/16 or 5/8? Because the stock S10 balljoint should not fit the #2 spindle....and it does. Did DJM install the wrong balljoints in the control arms? It would really explain why the Blazer 98+ never seamed to turn smoothly without binding.
