Lol Note the #2 stamped by the upper balljoint? That is how its known the #2 spindle...

GM full size cars from the 70's to 96 used a #1 with small 10" rotors or an option was for heavy duty brakes #2 with 12" rotors. This spindle is much larger than the S10 part so it should take plenty of abuse.

So is this spindle the same as a B-body conversion?

Yup, sure is. At the time I didnt know B body spindle swaps were common on S10 and Metric cars.

Finally got the front end together with the stance I was looking for. Swapped the front end to B body spindles,   UB Machine made the upper control arms for $135, I could have used the other tubular arms but would have had to use 1" of spacers to get the camber correct. Here is some pics of how the project sits.

From what I know the #2/B Body spindles are known for terrible bump steer on these chassis' because of the location of the steering arm.  If you want to keep running them that will be something you'll want to look into correcting.

it would seem that you and I are building VERY similar projects!  tall spindles, truck arms... though you are little bit more along then I and I am putting a bit more into the chassis.

what is your take on speedway engineering?  seems to be good company with good parts.  how are they with customer service?  I'm needing the axle mounting pads and they seem to be only ones that list them.

you still makin progress on the build?  i see that you haven't posted for a while on it.

I don't understand why you say the S10/Metric ball joint shouldn't fit... it's the same size & if I'm not mistaken the same P/N. If anything it's a difference between SAE & Metric.. but the taper is the same. Mine popped on just fine, too.
Looks good..

I believe it's the uppers that were changed. Not the lowers.
