The S10 mounts the pcm on the overflow bottle on the passenger side so you either have to pay $850 for a custom harness or cut & splice the donor harness to place the pcm on the passenger side.

I decieded that I would place the pcm on the drivers side rad support where it is on the Silverado trucks to keep things simple.

Everything worked out great & it fired right up with no issues.

Its clean on the passenger side & gave me space to mount the Spal fan controller.

Drove it to the exhaust shop with open headers. LOL  Got some funny looks !!

Had him run 2.5 all the way to a single Magnaflow dual in & out & has a built in X pipe. Run both pipes out behind the passenger side tire so it looks stock.

Drivers side at motor.

Passenger side at motor.

It isn't tooooo bad to swap it over to the other side (says the guy who has been working on this swap for several years).  Hopefully my harness write up will make it easier for others in the future.  Still need to put the finishing touches on that thread.

It will be similar for most 98+ which is why I tried to write it more as a tutorial than just dropping schematics and saying here is how it is.  The big year split is 2002 when the s trucks changed to the newer PCM part way through the year which switched a few things up between the body and engine.  The 5.3 uses the newer PCM, but it isn't hard to switch the wiring over.

Been a while since I have posted.  The swap has been doing great I have about 25,000 miles on it with no major issues.

Have shamed quite a few Stangs & a SRT 8 Charger & even a 6.0 GTO.  LOL

The header collector bots kept loosening so I installed these flex pipes just before the mufflers with V band clamps. Served two issues...I can now remove the pipes for trans replacement & allowed the exhaust to flex a little & the collector bolts stop coming loose.

Also installed C4 13 inch rotors with C5 Z06 calipers.  Awesome brakes once I worked all the bugs out.

Thanx !!   They work even better than they look. LOL

Ditch the turbo idea, too much $.  It goes fast enough as is & I can use the $ to get new seats & get the body stuff fixed. Dents & dings, hidden tailgate lever & a repaint eventually.

That's exactly the front brakes I'm going with as well! Have you locked them up yet? If so, with what tires?
