Anyone run extended wheel studs?

Just like the subject says, anyone? For what reason? Thicker mounting surface on aftermarket rims? or for looks or for track inspections? (10 thread minimum on lug)..
Post some pics if you would, i'm considering do this with some open ended Neo-chrome lug nuts. I'm sure i'll get some flack for it, but i think it'll be a nice touch to set off the wheels.

i'm happy, honestly haven't noticed a difference. i only put the spacer in originally because my 15" pontiac rally's hit the tie-rod portion of my drop spindles so i needed to gain some clearance. i could take them out again but there's really no point

had the wheel off to put my winters on the other day and remembered to grab you pictures, i believe these are 58mm studs. I got them on ebay for $2.50 a piece. The spacers are 15mm which i got locally for $35 or $45/pair, i forget which price

Awesome. Thanks for the pictures. I went wih the moroso studs, got them installed on the rear with my new drag neochrome lugs. I think it looks great, I'll snap a couple pics and post em

I run extended studs to clear my spacers too. If you change tire often (for track days or autocross) don't buy the silver ones like at the parts store. I twisted one off yesterday when I went to take my hoosiers off the front. The brakes get so hot that the threads get soft and the lug nut just eat them alive.
